“Picture This” serves as an introductory story arc introducing the American Supernatural Intelligence Division (ASID) in Indianapolis and Elias Novem.

Elias recently became an intern at the ASID and the manager, Tom, tasked him with investigating a supernatural case involving the Mona Lisa painting. Twenty-three men investigating the painting have mysteriously vanished. Elias travels to the Louvre in Paris, encountering strange events including a man named James who loses his hand mysteriously after touching the Mona Lisa. Elias discovers that the painting is cursed due to a flaw in Da Vinci’s brushstroke, and the curse manifests as deadly book monsters and a ghostly version of the Mona Lisa. Using his intelligence and the key role of time, Elias destroys the cursed canvas, lifting the curse and returning everyone safely to reality.
