Rukana holds the passive ability to skip forward in time, moving any attack directed towards him forward in the timeline where it no longer threatens Rukana. Rukana also holds a secondary ability to cast himself into a white dimension where time moved much faster to hibernate, allowing him to move anywhere forward in the timeline, erasing his existence from the reality temporarily.
Rukana's origins begins on the planet Ajespa. After undergoing a test, he becomes the fourth and final Jespan Lord. His ascension is met with suspicion by Behatar, but is welcomed by their queen Lucina. After a violent confrontation with Behatar, Rukana is sent hurtling towards Earth on an asteroid. He crash-lands on Earth during the age of dinosaurs, and a fragment of his meteor infuses with an Ankylosaurus's skin to create a powerful cosmic relic, the Ank Band. To escape, he hibernates for 165 million years, waking up in modern-day Earth. His goal is to retrieve the Ank Band to become invincible and eventually conquer Earth once humanity dies out to prove to Behatar he is worthy of being a Jespan Lord.
His defeat comes from Stella’s void vase, a temporal instability that challenges the very existence of time. His passive time skip doesn’t recognise the dream-like state of the vase that interprets all possible paths of fate, leading to a paradox that banishes him in the void which ultimately consumes him.
Rukana's personality is defined by his ambition and confidence. He has a dream of hope and a strong desire to prove himself worthy to his peers from Ajespa. He is arrogant and condescending, viewing others as mortals. This arrogance, however, makes him overconfident, leading him to expose his abilities and drop the Ank Band. Despite his flaws, he shows some restraint, choosing to leave Wei critically injured rather than killing him, which suggests his focus is on his ambitions and not for blood. His true nature is revealed in moments of fear, such as his defeat, showing that even with immense power, he is vulnerable to unknown forces that do not exist in the world.
