Star has the ability of the Sun, being able to absorb and reflect every type of electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation Star absorbs becomes fuel that allows him to take the properties of the absorbed electromagnetic radiation.
Born with chronic heart disease at age three, he was dying when his father, scientist Skye Sun, discovered a mysterious black creature on Bulan Island that bled orange liquid. Desperate to save his son, Skye injected him with this alien blood, which cured the heart condition but fundamentally altered Star's biology. His parents self-diagnosed their only child to albinism to mask the truth.
His mother eventually brought him to Singapore, where he excelled academically but remained socially isolated. His powers began manifesting consciously during his teenage years, and after learning the truth about his deadly nature, he was mentored by Sadana, an ancient Jespan Lord who taught him control and self-acceptance before sacrificing himself for Star's growth.
Star, who later chooses the name Ace, is a complex character whose personality evolves dramatically throughout his journey. Initially, he's academically driven and socially isolated, earning the nickname "Ace" for consistently excelling in his studies while avoiding social situations and drama.
Star is a perfectionist who originally focused solely on academic achievement but gradually develops a strong moral compass centered around protecting others. Despite his struggles with accepting his non-human nature, he maintains his essential humanity through his capacity for loyalty and self-sacrifice.
